The Copacabana Club

Updated: Mar 10, 2026

The Copacabana Club is a secret alfresco bar where European beer garden meets New York rooftop, tucked away out the back of Mr Badgers Deli Cafe and Bar in Woolloongabba.

Entry to The Copacabana Club Woolloongabba

There is no sign pointing the way - head down the back of the deli, past the tram and you’ll find yourself in what looks like a rundown locker room, complete with uniforms dangling from coat hangers overhead. Hidden away behind a secret office door you’ll find the epic bar which is inspired by the iconic New York City nightclub of the same name.

Performing live there were Frank Sinatra, Carmen Miranda, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, The Supremes, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, and Sam Cooke, and The Copacabana Bar pays homage to one of these legends with a painting of Ol' Blue Eyes (Frank Sinatra) on its wall.
