Arcade Wine

Ashgrove

Updated: Mar 11, 2026

Arcade Wine is a hidden gem - an elegant, cosy Italian wine and tapas bar in a bottle shop, tucked away Ashgrove's retro Sugarcane Arcade.

A neighbour for Wine & Larder Bistro, you'll find Arcade Wine next door, through the arcade and behind an ornate plant covered iron gate.

The ambient pocket-sized enoteca-inspired bar has an eclectic smattering of lamplit seating outside and a communal table with bar stools and a wall of ceiling-to-floor wine bottles, inside.

Customers can sit back, relax and enjoy a glass of wine and some exquisite house-made tapas, or choose a bottle from the extensive range of more than 400 mostly Italian organic wines (and a smattering of French), available from the drinks menu, which has been carefully curated by owner operator Danilo, a WSET and AIS certified sommelier from Italy.

The food at Arcade Wine is a perfect match for the wine, with Italian-style offerings such as marinated Sicilian olives, corn chips and pesto rosso, pork and beef meatballs and arancini porcini as well as artisan cheese and charcuterie boards.

Good to know - Arcade Wine originally made its home here in 2021, before relocating to Redcliffe in late 2024. Now, much to the delight of locals, they have moved back and re-opened in Ashgrove in February 2026.

Need to know - ARCADE Wine is the perfect spot for a pre-dinner aperitif before heading next door for dinner. There is limited, free street parking outside.
