A highlight of Brisbane's annual festive season, the Lord Mayor’s Lighting of the Christmas Tree presented by The Lott by Golden Casket will run in King George Square from 6:30pm to 7:30pm on Friday, November 25.

Join in the festive fun as Brisbane’s 22m tall Christmas tree, decorated with thousands of twinkling fairy lights and a huge colourful star (all solar-powered) is lit up. 

Lighting of the Christmas Tree Brisbane

Live musical performances of Christmas classics will accompany Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner's lighting of the tree, guaranteeing a magical launch to Christmas festivities in Brisbane.

Good to know - Following the official lighting event, the Christmas Tree will remain in King George Square for all to enjoy this festive season.
