Dorrington Park Enchanted Forest

Ashgrove

Aside from the cockatoo and galah hillside gatherings, the best part of Dorrington Park is the colourful storybook Enchanted Forest (the unofficial name by which Dorrington Park is known).

At the base of an enormous gnarled tree whose hefty branches provide most of the shade, the little playground is a delight for children up to about six years of age.

Featuring a talking toadstool (press the button and hear the story), a climbing web to reach the House of Hex and a good luck store for play-shopping, it’s been custom built for fantasy play.

Benches for parents have been strategically placed around the tree base for shaded observation purposes and there’s a not too shabby amenities block within reach as well as a gas barbecue and tables if making an event out of it.
