ANN GYOZA HAS CLOSED AND BEEN REPLACED BY SHUSHOKUYA MASA.
Japanese dumpling fans should not miss a visit to the tiny wood-panelled Gyoza Bar Ann (also known as Ann Gyoza) on a corner of the Emporium. In the evenings the place is abuzz as the hipster Japanese crowd descend to feast on sizzling great value plates of pork, vegetable, chicken, cheese and seafood dumplings served by efficient kimono clad waitresses.
While the delicious gyoza is the name of the game here, everything else on the simple menu is just as good, from the okonoyami (savoury Japanese pancakes) to the chicken karaage, the spring rolls to the agadashi todu. And no need to leave for dessert with green tea or tiramisu ice-cream to finish.
On hand are a great range of Japanese beer, hot or cold sake and kirin to accompany.
