Little Pawpaw
Kedron
Little Pawpaw Cafe is now Fuzzy Duck Cafe and is awaiting a new review.
In a stroke of luck for north-siders it also happens to be the most recent addition to the Venzin café/restaurant dynasty that has been keeping east-siders well-fed for years now - Green Papaya, Picnic, Mons Ban Sabai and Paw Paw.
Overseen by owner Giorgina (who is behind popular East Brisbane haunt Paw Paw), the café comprises a bright cheery indoor/outdoor space with recycled wooden tables and walls adorned with pawpaw art.
The small but tasty menu features a bunch of brunch staples such as avocado plate (avo, haloumi, tomato and lemon on rye), eggs on toast, jaffle of the day, corn and zucchini fritters, house-made museli, pumpkin gnocchi or the Little Paw Paw Brat (bacon, avo, tomato, chipotle mayo on ciabatta). With each of these choices, there’s the option of adding extras like eggs, bacon etc.
Also on and within the counter are fresh-baked muffins, brownies, cupcakes, croissants and filled Turkish rolls.
Coffee is well-brewed Campos and there’s also a small range of teas, juice and soft drink available.
Need to know: *On weekdays kitchen is open 7-1 for orders and on weekends 7-12.45.
