Green Heart Fair 2021

Carindale

DUE TO ONGOING COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS THE GREEN HEART FAIR HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

Brisbane City Council's Green Heart Fair, Brisbane’s favourite bi-annual sustainability festival, is back at Carindale Recreation Reserve on Sunday, September 5, 2021.

Brisbane residents of all ages are invited to come along for a day of free sustainability workshops and displays, artisan markets, kids' entertainment and Brisbane Billycart Championships, with 3,000 free native plants to giveaway to Brisbane residents on a first-in, first-served basis.

Learn how to live a more eco-friendly life with all-day talks from sustainability experts, and help lower your impact on the environment with hands-on activities and demonstrations.

Be inspired to reduce your waste at home as the Waste Zone highlights ways to reduce waste for a more sustainable life. And grow your green thumb by learning how to keep bees at home and get your little ones involved with a hands-on workshop.

Move for Less by test driving electric scooters, check out electric vehicles and learn more about sustainable travel. Meanwhile, Brisbane’s best artisans will showcase their finest collections of crafty handmade trinkets and oddments galore.

An annual highlight of the Green heart Fair is the old-school Brisbane Billycart Championships - watch the race action and come early for your chance to have a ride in a billycart!

Throughout the day, there'll be live music and some of Brisbane's best food trucks for sustenance, while kids will be entertained with a free dirtgirl and scrapboy show and all-day kids’ activities.

Need to know - Help to create a clean and green Brisbane by travelling by bus, bike or walk to the fair, and bring your own reusable water bottle and coffee cup.

The Green Heart Fair will operate in compliance with the latest COVID guidelines.
