Cenzo's Cafe & Bar

Upper Mt Gravatt

Cenzo’s Café & Bar is a well-kept secret, tucked away on a leafy street in Upper Mt Gravatt, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks.

Transforming from a hole-in-the-wall espresso bar to fully-fledged café and bar, Cenzo’s is sleek and modern with indoor and outdoor dining.

Breakfast favourites include smashed avocado with goat’s cheese, black sesame dukkah, balsamic reduction,  infused olive oil and lemon, breakfast bruschetta with slow roasted tomatoes, avocado, haloumi, pickled red onion, fresh basil and pesto on sourdough, and French toast - triple cooked brioche with butterscotch banana, mixed berry compote, pistachio, raspberry coulis and ice-cream.

Lunch options range from salads like classic Caesar salad and burgers - Cenzo’ s cheeseburger or haloumi and onion ring burger - to gourmet sandwiches such as the highly recommended Italian Melt – sopressa, prosciutto, mozzarella, provolone,  napoli sauce and basil pesto on garlic buttered sourdough toast.

Dinner service, available on Friday and Saturday, includes classic Italian bruschetta, warm bread and house-made dips, chicken wings (smoky bbq, Cajun spiced, honey and sesame or hot and spicy), pork and fennel meatballs and antipasto platters with a tasty selection of cured meats and cheeses, house pickled vegetables, olives, house made dips and warmed bread.

Drink wise, there’s well-brewed Merlo coffee, chai, tea, milkshakes and soft drinks. Fully-licensed, the bar is stocked with spirits, red and white wine, bubbles and beer, bottled and on tap.

Nice to know - Cenzo’s is child-friendly with a breakfast menu for kids consisting of banana and blueberry hotcakes with maple syrup and ice cream, soft boiled egg and sourdough soldiers and sliced avocado and vegemite on multigrain toast.
