Black Bear Lodge

Fortitude Valley

Up a secret dimlit set of stairs and occupying the darkened high-ceilinged space above Black Bear Lodge is a Twin Peaks meets Blue Velvet bar, where stag heads, fir trees and Johnny Cash rule, the red velvet curtained stage still provides the back drop and a cast of characters hang out.

And as well as being the Valley's most atmospheric drinking lounge, Black Bear Lodge is the place to catch the musical acts that regularly grace the stage and the front arch-windowed lounge, such as the rockabilly Mayhem County Boys and many others.

Guest and resident DJs also get into the spin regularly with theme nights featuring the sounds of the 60's and other musically inspired eras.
