Sake Restaurant

Brisbane

SAKE RESTAURANT HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

Taking the best of traditional Japanese and adding a contemporary local twist, stunning riverfront eating house and bar Sake is a feast for the eyes and the senses.

Diners have a choice of the inner bamboo slatted tatami rooms, the spacious river dining room or the traditional sunken dining tables at the rear. Incorporated is an open air kitchen complete with theatrical chefs, a climate controlled glass sake room and an open air bamboo bar on the balcony.

Traditionalists will find plenty to be enjoyed from the extensive sushi, sashimi and kushiyaki sections while must-tries from the fusion dishes include popcorn shrimp, pan-seared ocean trout with sweet pea puree and Asian mushrooms or sashimi-wise, the snapper white soy with sesame seed, white soy, chives and yuzu juice.

Sake Restaurant, Eagle St Pier

As well as the comprehensive menu of old and new, this place is about sake, with all dishes matched to both the shochu variety and the premium Kozaemon sake which is sourced from a 300-year-old boutique brewery in Japan. Or start at the bar with one of the refreshing Japanese cocktails.
