Hong Lan Asian Food & Seafood

West End

HONG LAN ASIAN HAS CLOSED.

Hong Lan Asian grocery store with its faded sign and peeling paint still stands as a reminder of old West End.

Inside the dim lit shelves are packed to bursting with all manner of south east Asian products - noodles including soba, rice stick, rolled, Japanese style and dried, tapioca, rice paper, rice pasta, sauces, roti, Chinese buns and durian cake.

And in spite of the shop’s careworn appearance the green produce – herbs and vegetables – has a market garden freshness.

There’s also a hefty frozen section, packed as tightly as the shelves with seafood, meats including mock vegetarian, bakery items and dumplings.
