Getta Burger

South Brisbane

GETTA BURGER HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

Popular Texan style burger joint Getta Burger has set up shop in SouthBrisbane/West End so Brisbane residents no longer have to traipse to Carina to getta burger fix.

Tucked away down in an off street line-up of revamped warehouses in Brereton Street, Getta Burger is hard to miss with its loud yellow and black signage. Within its rusty corrugated iron walls the twang of country music and the smell of smoked meat greets customers, who are more than happy to queue for the finger lickin’ offerings.

Those who choose to dine in can opt for a quaint vintage bus seat booth, a stool at one of the polished concrete bars or a table outside under the umbrellas.

On the menu at Getta Burger (which is licensed, and serves craft beer, wine and cider), are the classic Getta Burger (beef patty, lettuce, tomato, cheese, onion, pickle, mayo and their famous ‘That Tomato Relish’), Getta Lot (a Getta Burger with double cheese, mustard and grilled onion), Getta Beef Brisket, Getta Pulled Pork or Getta Pig Out (pulled pork, crispy bacon, double cheese and ‘That BBQ sauce’, topped with fries).

For those who don’t want the burger bun, the Grilled BBQ Melt (a mouth-watering thick cut toasted sandwich) comes with filling of pulled pork or beef brisket and double cheese on cheese bread with BBQ sauce.

Otherwise Getta Filthy Fries is a meal unto itself – a container of fries covered in cheese, onion, maple bacon cuts, ranch, mustard and BBQ sauce and a choice of smoked brisket or pulled pork. Fries also come without the trimmings and a sprinkling of sea salt. And for diners who like it hot, on the tables are bottles of fiery Mexican Cholula Hot Sauce
