Easter In The City
Brisbane Cbd
This Easter school holidays why not take the children on an old-fashioned jaunt to the city for a host of free activities (most of them free).
Daily on the Queen St mall stage fans of Dora the Explorer can get into the groove with Dora’s Dance Party and slime lovers can enjoy Slime Time.
Also, ride the free City Loop bus, jumping on and off for a visit to the Museum of Brisbane in the upper echelons of Brisbane City Hall - a must visit via the original lift to the refurbished clock tower (past visitors include Queen Elizabeth and The Beatles).
Nearby the Roma St Parkland is a destination to view water dragons, Jurassic ferns and plants, the spectacle garden, duck ponds or ride the mini train and hang out in the playgrounds. Nearby children can solve a crime and learn about the history of police in the state daily at the Queensland Police Museum (free).
Back in the city centre there’s Strike Bowling and Laser Tag, the latest kids movies at Event Cinemas in the Myer Centre and, over at the City Botanic Gardens, playgrounds, duck feeding and free interactive science based activities at The Cube.
