The Coop Espresso

THE COOP ESPRESSO HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

The Coop Espresso is a bolthole of cool secreted in a quirky laneway between Queen Street and Eagle Street in Brisbane’s bustling CBD.

While already loved by those ‘in the know,’ the speedy café is waiting to be found by surrounding workers and shoppers in need of a quick break.

The Coop Espresso used a cute and quirky bird symbol to mark its name on the side of a towering black building and exudes a touch of Euro with a red Italian Vespa parked out the front, glossy black, bright orange and lime green wooden seating, menus on easels and contemporary artwork soaring overhead.

The coffees offer more than a pick-me-up with creative and rotating phrases on the takeaway lids that make everybody smile. ‘Drink Me’ and ‘Coffee Always Helps’ are just a preview of what kind of fun words are waiting to be uncovered.

The cakes are a scrumptious addition to any coffee at morning or afternoon tea with items like upside down banana bread, apple crumble Danishes and amazing fudgy brownies and divine baked goodies from Crust and Co.

The delicious jaffle sandwiches sell like crazy with a long line of hungry people waiting to get their hands on a hot and cheesy number like The HTC with ham of the bone and The Einstein which boasts eggplant and a cashew and coop cheese blend.

While the friendly staff and cheerful coffee quotes would be enough to send anybody back for seconds, it is the jaffles that really gets the crowds warmed up for more in the funky little laneway where The Coop Espresso sets up shop.
