The Tailors
Woolloongabba
The Tailors is a mysterious speakeasy style bar hidden behind Rodrigo & Co tailors shop in the historic antique precinct of Woolloongabba.
Entry is via the mirror, which swings open, revealing the secret bar behind.

Taking its name from the shopfront, which itself is simply a facade evoking the old world of gentleman's sartorial suit and alterations businesses, The Tailors is a cosy South-American inspired cocktail and music bar.

Take a seat on the royal blue banquette that lines one wall or at one of the bar stools along the other and settle in for a rum-flavoured cocktail and, later at night on Fridays and Saturdays, a side of Cuban-style live jazz.

The drinks menu features some 50 types of rum, including some from the Caribbean and Latin America, and this carries over to the concise cocktail list which features signature creations like Queen Anne's Revenge (aged rum, banana liqueur and banana prosecco) and Paradise Love (spiced rum, cognac, strawberry, vanilla, raspberry and lemon).

Good to know - The Tailors is the work of local legend Dan Rodriguez, who also owns Canvas Club, Mrs J Rabbits, Mr Badgers and Electric Avenue.
Need to know - Whist The Tailors does not have a bar food menu, you can order cheese and charcuterie boards to nibble on.
