Are you an emerging artist or band? Want to take your music career to the next level? Brisbane City Council's The QUBE Effect will provide 24 musical acts the opportunity to take part in a nine-month music development program.

The QUBE Effect provides an opportunity to network with and be mentored by some of Brisbane's most influential music industry experts.

Artists will develop their skills, have live performance opportunities, make incredible industry connections and have their own music video filmed for thousands of people to watch and vote for in the People's Choice Award.

Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said “Getting that big break in the music industry is tough and The QUBE Effect provides money-can't-buy prizes and festival performance opportunities, which make a huge impact on the trajectory of an
emerging artist's career."

To be eligible, at least 50% of your musical act must be aged between 12 and 25 years and be living within Brisbane Local Government Area.

Applications for The QUBE Effect 2023 are now open and close at 5pm on Monday, September 12, 2022.

Need help with your application? As a young person in Brisbane, you can access Council's Visible Ink's music production studio and support staff to navigate the music industry and collaborate with collective creations.
