Fortitude Valley

Updated: Nov 19, 2022

THIS EVENT IS NOW IN THE PAST. FOR MORE GREAT THINGS TO DO AND SEE IN AND AROUND BRISBANE, PLEASE HEAD TO OUR WHAT'S ON PAGE.

Brisbane’s inaugural Laneway Tea Festival is bringing tea tastings, tea classes, tea readings and other amazing tea experiences to Fortitude Valley's historic laneways.

This is a must-attend festival for tea lovers - a celebration of tea that allows everyone to experience tea at a different level. A variety of vendors will be offering free tea tastings, tea classes and tea readings from teas all around the world.

At the festival there'll be everything from pure green tea leaves, Chai, Black Teas, Matcha, High Tea, Kombucha, Iced Teas and Bubble Teas to enjoy and taste, as well as a DIY tea blend bar and some fantastic Tea competitions like the Bubble Tea competition.

Contestants compete to drink 3 Litres of Milk Tea (Lactose Free Option Available) with pearls, a challenge that can be shared with a boba addicted mate. The first to finish the whole drink including pearls will be named Boba Queens or Boba Kings of the Laneway Tea Festival and be awarded The Ultimate Tea Hamper as first prize.
