Festival of Horsepower

City of Ipswich

The Festival of Horsepower returns to the City of Ipswich in June with a month-long, action-packed program, full of adrenaline and excitement.

From June 1-30, the much-loved, annual festival features a number of Australia’s signature racing and motorsports events, from the glitz and glamour of the TAB Ipswich Cup to the raw and adrenaline-fuelled action of the Top Fuel and Nitro Funny Cars at the Gulf Western Oil Winternationals, Australia's largest drag racing event.

Experience a massive weekend of full-throttle racing at Queensland Raceway’s 2 Days of Thunder, with an extra two nights of smoking battles at the Hi-Tec National Drift All Stars, while over at the Ipswich Kart Club, Australia’s best drivers will fight for the right to be crowned State Champions.

There’s plenty of family fun to be had at the trots at Marburg Pacing Association, the Cars and Culture Track Festival at Queensland Raceway, or the drags at Willowbank Raceway to name a few!

So, buckle up for the ride of your life when the Festival of Horsepower returns to the City of Ipswich in June, with a program of high-octane events that's guaranteed to deliver plenty of excitement and entertainment for the entire family.
