Converge

Expressions Dance Company

Queensland’s premier contemporary dance company, Expressions Dance Company, present Converge at Queensland Conservatorium Theatre, March 10 – 17.

With their multi-award winning performances always a dynamic and enthralling experience for audiences, no doubt Converge will thrill the many fans of EDC, who are partnering with Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University (QCGU) for this series of concerts.

Converge will consist of bold, new, contemporary dance works from four of Australasia’s hottest young choreographers and continues the company’s long tradition of original collaborations between live musicians, composers and dancers.

One of the choreographers is Xu Yiming from Beijing Dance LDTX with a provocative new work, along with EDC ensemble members Richard Causer and Jake McLarnon, while the fourth work is from acclaimed contemporary dance maker, Stephanie Lake, who received a 2017 Australia Council Fellowship.

It’s a wonderful way for Queensland audiences to witness new works from nationally and internationally renowned dance artists, enhanced with the works of emerging composers and musicians from QCGU. Converge is an experience not to be missed.
