Redcliffe Markets

Sunday

Market settings don't come more picturesque than those of the Redcliffe Markets, especially in the early morning as the sun rises over Moreton Bay.

Strung out along the sea front with the Redcliffe Jetty as a backdrop, these markets, peddling fruit and veges, gourmet produce, snacks, fresh-baked bread and pastries, coffee, plants, fashion and arts and craft, are a Sunday institution with locals and visitors alike.

Amongst the myriad of offerings are local Narangba bananas, hive honey, local cheese, smoked pork, eggs from the chicken-hatted Egg Man, licorice, fisherman's pants, surf wear, wood carvings, pets treats and jewellery.

Meantime for a cheap brunch on the jetty pick up a coffee or juice and a pancake, German hotdog, Cornish Pastie, a Turkish or wood-fired pizza, Hungarian langos, or other international street food.
