The Fox's Hollow is a breezy dog-friendly riverside cafe, tapas bar and restaurant located under a Newstead apartment block.  

One of Brisbane's hidden gems and well worth seeking out, you'll find The Fox's Hollow off the beaten track,  a short distance from the Gasworks dining precinct.

Customers can take a seat in the glass-encased interior with water glimpses or on the cosy terrace (which is dog friendly), and enjoy everything from breakfast and lunch to sundown cocktails and dinner.

The breakfast menu (served until 11.30am) includes cacao and black tahini granola; Chef's omelette; mixed berry pancakes; savoury mince, smashed avocado and forest mushroom polenta.

The lunch/dinner menu, served from 11.30-8*, features delicious dishes like pan fried garlic prawns with herb couscous; roast pumpkin gnocchi;  confit chicken Maryland with herb mash potato; or fish of the day, as well as more casual bites like open gilled chicken or rib eye steak sandwich.

Entrees and tapas (available at the same time as the all day lunch menu) include roma tomato bruschetta; oven braked brie with macadamia dukkah and toasted sour dough or a generous charcuterie board for 2.

There's also seared scallops with cauliflower puree and bacon crumb; pulled pork croquette with pickled grape &  pepper berry aioli; or coconut wombok chicken salad.

The Fox's Hollow is also the go-to for excellent bespoke cocktails, including a signature list with whimsical names like Eve's Apple, Practical Magic and Finding Neverland as well as classics like Strawberry passion Mojito, Espresso Martini, Negroni and Sunset Mimosa.

There's also a small selection of international & Australian wines, a couple of beers on tap and a smattering of bottled beer and cider.
