THIS EVENT IS NOW IN THE PAST. FOR MORE GREAT THINGS TO DO AND SEE IN AND AROUND BRISBANE, PLEASE HEAD TO OUR WHAT'S ON PAGE.

For more than four decades, the Queensland Garden Show has brought gardening enthusiasts together, and in 2026 the much-loved event will return to Nambour from 10 to 12 July for its 42nd year.

Couple walking

Organised by Greenlife Industry QLD, the premier three-day event will once again transform more than seven hectares of the Nambour Showgrounds into a vibrant showcase of plants, expert advice, landscape design and hands-in-the-soil learning for gardeners of every skill level.

Crowd sitting

Each year, more than 25,000 visitors pass through the gates to explore over 360 exhibitors, including 55 major nurseries offering an extraordinary 60,000 plants for sale each day. From garden classics to exotic and hard-to-find varieties, and even brand-new releases launched at the event, the Queensland Garden Show brings together the state’s largest collection of plants in one location.

People browsing plants

Visitors can plan their day around the live demos, take part in hands-on workshops or explore the fully planted Giant Kitchen Garden for practical guidance on creating a productive soil-to-supper backyard. The popular Plant Clinic will also be open all weekend, offering free one-on-one advice from horticultural experts to help diagnose plant problems and identify mystery specimens.

Women doing crafts

The family-friendly event offers free entry for children aged 15 and under, along with dedicated activities for budding young growers and a playground to keep little ones entertained.
