The Plantation
Gumdale
An old-fashioned resort style cluster of pools, picnic and barbecue amenities, beach volleyball and tennis courts, The Plantation can be found off the beaten bayside track alongside the Tingalpa Creek Reserve.

Aside from the six volleyball courts and three tennis courts (both for hire by the hour) the main attraction here is the three swimming pools (one heated indoors) and the toddler wading pool with frog sculpture slide. Ultimately it's an ideal place for younger children who can oscillate between the wading and activity pool with 3 water slides and spouting features and then burn off energy on the sizable patch of lawn where the picnic tables are. Meanwhile the other outdoor pool is a standard twenty five metre pool with lap lanes for more serious swimmers.

On site there's a kiosk for basic drink and snack requirements and the other old weatherboard buildings on site are home to Royal Lifesaving Queensland, which holds junior lifesaving, first aid and bronze medallion training programs.
