Updated: Dec 14, 2025

THIS EVENT IS NOW IN THE PAST. FOR MORE GREAT THINGS TO DO AND SEE IN AND AROUND BRISBANE, PLEASE HEAD TO OUR WHAT'S ON PAGE.

The Bribie Island Christmas Lights Boat Parade is a dazzling aquatic spectacle with a flotilla of vessels set to light up the island's canals in magical fashion on December 13.

From humble dinghies to sleek luxury cruisers, skippers compete for bragging rights with thousands of LEDs and themed installations that are reflected in spectacular fashion on the water.

To catch the best views, head to hotspots like Banksia Beach and the Pacific Harbour Marina precinct early in the afternoon. Pack a picnic, grab a patch of grass, and settle in before twilight to secure a prime vantage point for the show.

Good to know - At the Pacific Harbour Marina, a  Laser show will play in bursts between the passing flotilla and be visible from approximately 1km. Plus there will be Food Trucks offering everything from snacks, drinks and carnival food to fresh seafood.

Need to know - For a quieter experience with plenty of space, there are alternatives like the new park at 170 Cosmos Avenue or 84 Endeavour Drive where the parade passes twice.
