Krabby’s Crab Boil has brought its one-of-a-kind Louisiana-style seafood boils to the heritage-listed police headquarters building at The Barracks, Petrie Terrace.

There's plenty of seating options in the beer garden-style area (perfect for groups) on the wraparound verandah area, where TV screens show American sporting matches, or the brightly-lit interior.

Guests are invited to pop on their bibs and gloves, and get ready to feast on a bounty of fresh cooked seafood, seasoned to perfection. From king prawns and snow crab to mussels and clams, the crab-focused menu is packed with combinations to suit everyone, with a variety of sauces to enhance.

Start with appetisers such as fried softshell crab, crab fries; crispy crumbed prawns; salt and pepper squid; or fish fillet roll or must-try Alaskan King Crab Roll.

A selection of Seafood Bucket Sets (for two) include Blue Swimmer, Brown Crab or Canadian Snow Crab (must-try!); as well as Lobster, Moreton Bay Bug or Boston Lobster combos, all of which include prawns, green mussels, clams, pineapple cut squid, baby octopus, fried fish fillets, sweet corn and red potatoes. Diners also have the option to build their own bucket, and there's also a choice of Seafood Solo - single buckets of clams, prawns, crab or shrimps.

Meantime, you get to choose your own sauce, including Cajun, creamy butter garlic, lemon black pepper, Szechuan lor laksa. There's also a special kids pack which includes fried chicken wing, chips or rice, sweet corn and juice.

Good to know - Krabby's Crab Boil is wheelchair accessible, with plenty of room for wheelchairs, prams etc inside.

Need to know - There is 2-hour free secure parking onsite at The Barracks (lift accessible).
