The godfather of disco music, Cerrone, is coming to Brisbane Powerhouse on Friday, June 2, 2023 with a brilliant new DJ set that re-imagines his classic hits in one long irresistible invitation to dance.

The French disco producer rose to international fame in the 1970s with a run of hit records like Love in C Minor, Supernature and Give Me Love.

Cerrone's work charted new territory for disco music by merging electronic synthesisers and traditional orchestrations in a way that hadn’t been heard before. His contribution to music has been huge and his songs have been sampled by the likes of Daft Punk, Public Enemy, Run DMC, Paul McCartney and Bob Sinclar.

Five decades on, Cerrone is right at home in the current disco revival, still being booked at the biggest festivals in the world and playing DJ sets to a new legion of young fans.

Cerrone will deliver a legendary DJ set of his 2022 album, Cerrone by Cerrone, at Brisbane Powerhouse in June, featuring new tracks of his classics reworked, enhanced by high-flying remixes while still keeping Cerrone’s disco DNA.
