Air: Up Late brings an unforgettable two-night celebration to GOMA, featuring outdoor sets by leading Australian musicians and DJs, an art-making workshop, dining, bars and more on March 17 & 18, 2023.

Air Up Late offers visitors an opportunity to explore the summer blockbuster exhibition’s five unfolding chapters – Atmosphere, Shared, Burn, Invisible and Change – complemented by an invigorating line-up of live music outside on the Maiwar Green.

Air Up Late: GOMA

On Friday 17 March, Up Late will feature the evocative indie sounds of Naarm-based songwriter Alice Skye (Wergaia/Wemba Wemba people), as well as a dreamy alt-pop performance by Brisbane‑based Clea.

Air Up Late: GOMA

Saturday 18 March sees an intimate live show by Melbourne‑based Camp Cope, along with a guitar-driven power-pop set from Melaleuca and the raw alt-rock of Special Features (QUBE Effect performance partner prize winners 2022), both from Brisbane.

Air Up Late: GOMA

Inside GOMA, Air Up Late visitors can get creative with Suspended Particles, a drop-in workshop inspired by Jemima Wyman’s artwork in ‘Air’, Plume 20 2022. All ages and skill levels can make their own suspended particles by collaging cloud-like shapes to create a camouflage plume.

Air Up Late: GOMA

Good to know - Eats and drinks will be available from GOMA Bistro; Newstead Brewing Co Coastal Bar; River Room Bar; and Bacchus Wine Room.

Need to know - Capacity on both nights of Air Up Late is limited, with live music under the Maiwar Green marquee for fresh air and space to move. All payments are contactless for visitor safety.
