The Hidden Lanes Festival is a day long celebration of everything Fortitude Valley has to offer on Saturday, August 14, 2021, celebrating live music, food, fashion, art and design - and it's all FREE.

Hidden Lanes is proud to keep it ‘Live and Local’ and power on with the event that will kick-start the post Covid-19 lockdown celebrations, get local musicians on stages and help get the much loved Brisbane Laneways and businesses bustling again.*

On Saturday August 14, The Lanes of Fortitude Valley will be brimming with some of the best food, local crafts and fashion that the South East community has to offer. The collective of dynamic Valley alleys - Winn Lane, Bakery Lane, California Lane and Lucky Lane - are all joining forces to celebrate all they have to offer. This year’s Festival will see LarucheSuzi Wongs, Uh-Oh Spaghetti-O and The Zoo joining the pack.

Headlining the Festival is four-piece punk outfit VOIID; a rising act that's previously played at Groovin’ The Moo, GizzFest and BIGSOUND, nd alongside Grinspoon, Amyl and the Sniffers and DZ Deathrays.

Joining VOIID will be their good pal, Connor Brooker of BUGS fame. Returning to his solo project back in February 2021, Brooker's lush noise pop is reminiscent of the 2000s and his most recent single 'Miss You' has received stacks of love from fans and taste-makers alike. Grooving is guaranteed when listening to Buttercats' soulful, disco beats. Never salty and always sweet, the trio will undoubtedly be bringing the disco heat to the d-floor.

Hidden Lanes’ epic line-up includes more than 45 acts with a diverse range of sound and genres, including local darlings MelaleucaFraser Bell and Straight Girls. There’s also a bunch of Brisbane's hottest up and coming DJ sets for the groovers, headlined by THE CHATS.  The huge line-up invites you to try something new, whether it be a new band, new sound or even a new gig venue.

Continue the festive fun and discover some of the Valley's best kept secrets by exploring your way through all of its twists, turns, nooks and crannies. The more you look, the more you’ll uncover. Snap-up a new knick-knack at one of the market stalls, discover your new favourite restaurant, or even an after work drinks spot.

Previous instalments of the Festival saw these small lanes boasting huge charm and personality, as they introduced punters to the best things these micro-communities have to offer. As we all emerge out of the COVID bubble, supporting small businesses as they begin to get back on their feet is more important than ever. Come out and support your local businesses and independent artists.  With plenty happening, you won't want to miss out.

Featuring music from: VOIID, The Chats (DJ Set), Connor Brooker, Buttercats along with The Riot, Fat Picnic, Perve Endings, Melaleuca, PocketLove, Nicole McKinney, ELEEA, Miranda Vs Arizona, Beks, tomtom, Freight Train Foxes, Bella Amor, Lucy Francesca Dron, Fraser Bell, Sachem, Rich Uncle, Oh Bailey, Hope One, Sofia Isella, Cloud Tangle, Hannah Sands, Straight Girls, Buttered, Brooke Austen, Lilly Sage, Khara Van Park, Evie, LUATE, Sidewalk Assembly, Juniper Stone, Paulina, Welcome to Country - Songwoman Maroochy.
