Blak Feeds - Bianca Beetson
Brisbane Square Library
Blak Feeds offers a unique chance to join Indigenous Art Program curators and multi-media visual artist Bianca Beetson, a Kabi Kabi (Sunshine Coast) Waradjuri (NSW) woman, for an artist talk with a difference on Jul 16.
The artist, who works in a broad range of media including painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, photography fibre arts and public art, is also a former member of the seminal Aboriginal artists collectives Campfire group and Proppanow.
During this free event you'll get to view an Instagram feed of images, share food and conversations about Bianca's artworks, with the chance to ask questions and learn more about her practice.
Good to know - The talk is part of the fascinating Indigenous Art Program: HYPERLOCAL, which is running in Brisbane until July 31, 2021, and curated by Blaklash Creative.
Need to know - While the event is free to attend, numbers are limited and bookings are essential.
