Overnight Yoga Retreat

Clear your mind and soul at Sanctuary Cove's Overnight Yoga Retreat held at the luxurious 5-star InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort on Friday, June 4 and Saturday, June 5, 2021.

Whether you're an experienced yogi or new to the spiritual practice, this 2-day intimate retreat will provide you with the opportunity to relax and reconnect, with sunset and sunrise yoga practices, holistic healing sessions, health talk from a local Gold Coast nutritionist, delicious chef-prepared meals, and free time to make the most of your wellness experience.

Participants will stay overnight in the resort's lavish rooms, with all meals prepared by Head Chef Matt Hart; while the itinerary includes sunset yoga by the Lagoon Pool and early morning vinyasa flows set on the Marina Lawn overlooking the yachts dotted on the Sanctuary Cove Marina. Hosted by Sanctuary Cove Country Club’s resident yoga instructor Linda Trickey, her classes are an extraordinary experience; incorporating a combination of poses, breathing exercises and opportunities to learn how to maintain calmness on and off the mat.

Special guests include Caroline Scott, a professional nutritionist who will deliver an informative talk on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Caroline has over 15 years’ experience in the industry, disrupting traditional health messages and educating her clients on how to prevent and reverse disease through the power of wholefoods. 

Lauren Siafas from Boho Yoga Journeys will take participants through a one-hour deep sound healing session, unblocking energy, and vibrating the body into a state of wellbeing and harmony. Lauren uses crystal bowls, gongs and other instruments sourced from around the world to create layers of tones and overtones that vibrate every cell of the body; relaxing muscles, releasing emotions and bringing participants into a deep state of relaxation. 

The group will have plenty of opportunities to catch up and get to know each other throughout the retreat with regular meals and breaks.

Following the sound healing session, participants are welcome to finish off the day at the Verandah Bar with a celebratory glass of sparkling wine, overlooking the stunning tropical surrounds of the resort.
