THE LIMES ROOFTOP HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

Limes Rooftop Bar, Brisbane's very first rooftop bar is located on top of boutique Limes Hotel in the hip Alfred and Contstance precinct of Fortitude Valley.

Here's the place to kick back on the patio furniture, cushion-backed benches ot take a dip in one of the spas with groovy music and a sultry sunset – there are few better ways to end a summer weekend.

On Wednesday and Thursday nights the crowds gather on beanbags and in the spa at the southern end at the pop up Rooftop Cinema for ex-box office movies and the odd popular TV session.

Bar snacks such as Spanish meatballs, spiced calamari and buffalo mozzarella bruschetta are on hand to accompany the popular International and local beers, wines and champagne and martinis, mojitos and shots.

And smokers are well accommodated – a platform smoking deck sits well above with the best views in the house and no chance of offending the non-smoking set below.

If a bar session proves too tiring or a fellow bar patron too attractive, special after midnight room deals are available at the Limes Hotel below, subject to availability.

*Movies, which are typically ex-box office populist films of the past decade, cost $15 for a beanbag or a spot in the spa and screen between 7 and 10pm. Drinks and tapas can be purchased both during and before the movie and as such the bar opens at 5pm.
