Beyond the Sand Arts Festival will see Surfers Paradise transformed into a captivating beachfront gallery of colour, movement and music across nine days and nights from March 13-21, 2021.

The multi-medium arts festival showcases large‐scale, bold works from gallery to the beach, highlighting an incredible calibre of national and international artists. From contemporary to abstract one of a kind and even feature installations and entertainment, Beyond the Sand creates a diverse showcase of art and culture across a variety of mediums.

Previously known as Sand Safari, the reimagined festival will host the world premiere of internationally renowned Australian artist, Amanda Parer, as she unveils her biggest art installation ‘Lost’, a never before seen larger-than-life artwork featuring rare botanicals that will be scattered throughout Surfers Paradise, transforming the beachfront into a vibrant floral inspired wonderland.... more

In addition, the festival will also include unique artworks from up-and-coming artists and the annual Australian Sand Sculpting Championships. What’s more, the 2021 event will be circus-themed, offering entertainment for the entire family, including circus performances, roving entertainment and workshops, where attendees will be able to ‘step right up’ and learn new skills from performers and artists.... more
