Les Folies De Paris

Spring Hill

LES FOLIES DE PARIS HAS CLOSED AND BEEN RELACED BY LONELY BOY CAFE.

Les Folies de Paris is a charming French patisserie in an historic Spring Hill corner shop, where the house specialty is melt-in-the-mouth macarons.

Behind this authetic little piece of Europe in inner city Brisbane is Monsieur Macaron, bakers of extraordinary macarons who also had the outlet Twist’n’Roll in Rocklea.

Les Folies de Paris Spring Hill

Everything is baked on premise at Les Folies de Paris, including, as well as the signature macarons, a range of traditional French offerings - croissants (plain, ham and cheese, almond and chocolate), baguettes (Parisian or sourdough), tartes aux fruits, and mille fueille.

French strawberry tarte

Here’s also the place to pull up a chair at the Parisian cafe setting and enjoy a French breakfast (croissant, jam and butter) or Croque Monsieur, filled baguette or partake in a delicious éclair (pistachio, strawberry, salted caramel, chocolate , vanilla or coffee) with a coffee for afternoon tea.

French fruit tarte

Also available are savoury daily pies, tarts and handmade sausage rolls to eat in or take away.

Above all, must-try here are the macarons, which occupy an entire counter like a multi-coloured flower bed and come in flavours including lavender and vanilla, rose petal, blackcurrant, Nutella, apple crumble, lamington, cookie cream and bubble gum rainbow.

On and behind the shop’s counter are jars of Carambar French bonbons in fruits or caramel flavour, available singularly or by the little bag.

In addition to tea and coffee, a small range of cold drinks including Strawberry Tagada and Sparkling Padoit mineral water are available.

Need to know – Drop by for a French breakfast for $9.50 – filled half baguette or croissant with tea or coffee.

Nice to know – Macarons come in chic gift boxes too, perfect for a gift.
