Frida Kahlo's Summer House

FRIDA KAHLO'S SUMMER HOUSE HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED IN MAY 2023.

Frida Kahlo's Summer House is a bright and airy al fresco Mexican restaurant nestled between the riverwalk and Story Bridge in Kangaroo Point. 

The venue is inspired by the Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo and her house "La Casa Azul" in Mexico City, boasting vibrant colours and beautiful artwork, while offering plenty of outdoor seating in a shaded courtyard surrounded by lush, tropical plants.

The Mexican-influenced menu is diverse, bursting with flavour and has something for everyone, including a wide variety of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.

Traditional Mexican dishes include huarache (wagyu rib fillet, blue corn homemade flatbread, refried beans, cheddar, cos tomatillo sauce), enchiladas (green or signature- a taste of three different sauces), and prawn ceviche (lime-cured prawns, clam juice, fresh pico, cucumber, fine serrano, avocado, corn chips)  

Other dishes include Mexican street corn (chargrilled corn, mayo, feta, tajin, coriander) potato flautas (mashed potato taquitos, house red salad, cos, feta, sour cream) and guacamole, which is freshly prepared at your table.

The bar features an extensive cocktail menu, including tasty classics, delicious house cocktails - an impressive selection of margaritas and a handful of mojitos to choose from - as well as a decent selection of beer and tequila. 

This the perfect spot for a leisurely brunch on the weekends, with a two hour bottomless brunch package on offer. Indulge in an assortment of refreshing beverages (including cocktails and beers) and unlimited mouth watering tacos - with six different fillings available you’ll be spoilt for choice!
