Sweethearts Cupcakes

SWEETHEARTS CUPCAKES HAVE CLOSED THEIR PADDINGTON SHOP AS OF JUNE 26, 2021 AND ARE NOW ONLINE ONLY.

Sweethearts Cupcakes is a bespoke European style cupcake parlour found in an art deco shop at the Paddington antique centre.

Step inside the cool pastel coloured pink and white interior to find two gleaming counters of delectable daily baked cupcakes, pink glass chandeliers, exposed brick walls, polished original floorboards and a smattering of dainty tables and chairs.

The heavenly cupcakes, which are arguably the best you'll find in Brisbane, are baked daily onsite by owner and baker Jo, and come in flavours such as chocolate and salted caramel, lemon meringue pie, red velvet, vanilla bean, cookies and cream, butterscotch, white chocolate and macadamia and the must-try apple crumble and custard. There's also vanilla and raspberry mini-cupcakes that kids will love.

The second counter is devoted to gluten-free and vegan cupcakes, with gluten free flavours including chocolate and caramel, red velvet and orange, almond and toffee and vegan cupcakes in flavours of salted caramel and chocolate, vanilla bean and red velvet. 

Whilst cupcakes come in cute boxes to take away, Sweethearts Cupcakes serves an excellent cup of coffee from local Blackstar Roastery, with cupcakes served on beautiful crockery so this is a charming spot to enjoy the cakes in-house. They also serve T2 teas and HRVST juices. 

Nice to know - The parlour's chic chairs were upholstered by Jo's grandfather and a stand of pretty aprons for sale were made by her mother. There are also bags of coffee beans that customers can purchase.
