Experience the hauntingly beautiful ballads of French chanteuse, Edith Piaf, when the multi-award-winning cabaret Exposing Edith comes to QPAC from March 19 to 21.

Created and performed by Michaela Burger (vocals) and Greg Wain (guitar), this breathtaking show features Piaf's timeless torch songs about love, loss and sorrow.

Hear classics such as Padam, Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien, and her signature song La Vie en Rose, alongside lesser-known gems;  all uniquely reworked using acoustic guitar with loop, delay and effect pedals to create an exquisite mix of authentic French chanson and contemporary sounds.

Australia’s own ‘Little Sparrow', Michaela Burger, bears a remarkable resemblance to the legendary songstress, dressed in Piaf's trademark black, with a voice of uncanny beauty.

Piaf's songs are punctuated with a collection of extraordinary tales of the singer's life, which are recounted by Burger who also takes on a multitude of key characters, including Louis Leplee (owner of Cabaret Gurney), several of Piaf's lovers, her half-sister Momone, and of course, Edith Piaf herself.

"Burger is as close as you will ever get to seeing the real Piaf perform. The music is spectacular, and she sings it with all the passion of the great lady herself"  Australian Stage

Need to know - The performances on March 21 have sold out already and extra shows have been added due to demand. Get your tickets now before they sell out again!
