Wall Climbing

Children will be climbing the walls this September school holiday at Westfield Carindale Shoppingtown, when the Nestle Choose Wellness Roadshow rocks into town.

This fantastic free event is part of a travelling initiative to help Australians lead healthy active lives and has been developed through partnerships with Australia’s leading healthy and physical education organisations including the Australian Institute of Sport and the Dieticians Association of Australia.

As well as the opportunity to have fun scrambling up 2.2m walls, children will also learn how to eat and live healthily, with topics such as what are the 5 food groups, how to judge a healthy portion size of food and even how to have a healthy pet covered.

Commonwealth Games Gold Medalists and UNCLE TOBYS Ambassadors, Cate and Bronte Campbell, will be visiting with tips on healthy lifestyles and autograph signing.

Visitors to the event will be able to learn how to read food labels, find out if they're at risk of diabetes and speak to an accredited dietitian.

There will also be cooking demonstrations, free portion plates for adults and children along with information and samples of renowned brands such as Milo, Maggi, Uncle Tobys and Nescafé.
