Danny Champion Of The World

Brisbane Arts Theatre

Classic Roald Dahl tale Danny the Champion of the World comes to the stage at the Brisbane Arts Theatre as a highlight of its 2014 kids theatre programme.

Danny is the uplifting story of the 9 year old boy who lives in a gypsy caravan with his father, and for whom life is pretty good until he finds out that his dad has been poaching pheasants from malicious landowner Victor Hazell.

When one night he doesn’t return from his poaching endeavours Danny fears the worst and bravely sets off to find his father. Drawing on the village for help he masterminds an amazing complicated plot to overthrow the hateful Hazell, but will he succeed?
