The Gap

Updated: May 10, 2026

THE LODGE HAS CLOSED.

The Gap’s gorgeous little go to for coffee and treats is The Lodge, located on Waterworks Road opposite Walton Bridge Reserve.

The Lodge Cafe The Gap

The breakfast menu is basic with sourdough toast, banana bread and fresh fruit salad with yoghurt and honey, while lunch options include portabello and haloumi burgers with spicy tomato relish, smoky paprika couscous with chargrilled eggplant and mushrooms and quinoa, broccoli and feta cakes served with salad.

With a focus on healthy eating, all handmade treats are deliciously good for you: orange goji balls, homemade muesli bars and raw chocolate brownies with raspberry and toasted coconut.

Besides well-brewed cups of coffee, patrons can pull up a stump (literally) outside and enjoy freshly squeezed juices like Tropical Bliss (watermelon, pineapple, mint and passionfruit) or green smoothies such as Veggie Attack (spinach, orange, celery, kale, cucumber and chia seeds) which is surprisingly sweet.
