The High Tea Room

Scarborough

THE HIGH TEA ROOM IN SCARBOROUGH HAS CLOSED.

The High Tea Room is a quaint, old-world tea house found in the seaside suburb of Scarborough. Located a short stroll from Queens Beach, this charming tea house is a sibling for Sweet Swirls café found next door.

Inside this lovingly restored cottage, you’ll find original features such as polished timber floors, high ceilings and ornate cornices.

Ideal for special occasions such as birthdays, bridal or baby showers, patrons can take tea in one of several rooms including a lovely, light-filled, enclosed verandah. Small tables for two and long tables for large groups are meticulously set with vintage china, silverware and pretty tablecloths.

High Tea, served with your choice of T2 loose leaf tea or Segafredo coffee, includes freshly baked scones with homemade jam and fresh whipped cream, and an ample selection of sweet and savoury treats.

Savoury bites consist of miniature quiches, savoury muffins and ribbon sandwiches filled with camembert cheese and fig jam, cream cheese, dill and cucumber, and ham and cheese; while dainty desserts range from vanilla cupcakes and profiteroles to macarons and mini lemon meringue tartlets.
