Piccolo Café
Fortitude Valley
PICCOLO CAFE AT FORTITUDE VALLEY HAS CLOSED.
Piccolo Café is hand rolling pizzas and tossing pasta dishes in their dine-in and takeaway restaurant, located in the back streets of the Fortitude Valley.
The intimate eatery features booth seating and a few dining tables that can be adapted for group seating. There’s a gorgeous wall feature which adds to the ambiance of the restaurant – a fairy light mural of the Storey Bridge and Piccolo Café.
The menu features starters, salads, pizza, pasta and desserts. The Capri Salad is a delicious place to start, which is a bowl laden with tomatoes, mozzarella, fresh basil and extra virgin olive oil.
You can’t leave Piccolo without trying one of their delectable, hand-rolled pizzas. The Margherita is a classic choice, topped with tomato, fior de late, basil and extra virgin olive oil.
For the meat lovers amongst us, tuck into their BBQ Meat Lovers – topped with ham, pepperoni, Italian sausage, bacon, red onion, BBQ sauce and mozzarella cheese.
If you’re more of a pasta lover, give their Puttanesca a try. This spaghetti dish is full of flavour, tossed with garlic, chilli, anchovy tomato and olives.
For dessert, there are a few delicious options on the menu, including a New York baked cheesecake. Diners can choose out of beer, wine and soft drinks to accompany their meal, takeaway guests can even grab a six-pack with their takeaway pizza.
Need to know – Limited nearby street parking is available. Piccolo is very handy to the Judith Wright Centre so makes a good place for a pre or post-show bite.
Nice to know – Piccolo also has an eatery in Camp Hill. Piccolo runs a dine-in special each evening for pizza and a beer for just $22.
