Brisbane and surrounds offer children and families a wide range of opportunities to experience living history. From an old world tram ride to experiencing life in a Victorian mansion, here are some great ways to learn about life in the "olden days":

Wander around this replica village which is also home to a working blacksmith's forge, an old fashioned lolly shop and a bustling Sunday market. A visit to Pine Rivers Heritage Museum's school room and Yebri House are also a must visit

A collection of historic buildings (with two being original to the site), which showcase the history of the area, including the old school house and a craft cottage. There is also a kids playground in the grounds
