M22 BAR AND CAFE HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

M22 Bar and Café in Newstead is a quirky laidback lounge bar that occupies the side street space vacated by Tippler's Tap. 

The bar serves a range of craft beers, wines and cocktails to quench your thirst in their tranquil and ambient saloon venue, alongside a menu brimming with Asian and Western influenced cuisine.

The interior of M22 features wide, open windows where diners can sit on tall bar stools and enjoy a beer as they watch the world go by. Out the back of the venue, there is plenty of couch seating, tables and more bar stools. There are even TV’s out the back, for those that want to keep up to date with the English Premier League.

The food is made for drinking as boots are made for walking, with a range of tasty morsels that are easy to share. From their tasty M22 Fried Chicken Wings to their delicious pork or prawn steamed dumplings, to a side of their delicious, seasoned prawn chips. 

For those who are after more than a snack, there is plenty of larger dishes available to order –Aussie or Asian. Such as Japanese Chicken Curry with Rice, Bolognese Pasta or a fusion of the two; an Aussie and Asian Avocado Burger.

Of course, drinks are their specialty, serving a range of red and white wines, bottled and tap beers and even cocktails. The cocktail menu features all the classics including; Long Island Iced Tea, Espresso Martini and Mojito.

Need to know – Street parking and an underground carpark is available. Daily specials are also available.

Nice to know – M22 will soon be serving coffee*.
