Aussie World

Palmview

Spin, splash, scream and slide at Aussie World, the only theme park north of Brisbane with more than thirty rides and attractions.

This school holiday there's a world of fun to be had for all ages, starting the day with a splash on family favourite The Plunge.

Not to be missed are the newest rides The Bombora Bounce and The Wasp. The Bombara Bounce is a popular ride that shoots riders 10m upwards before bouncing and twisting back down, while The Wasp flings riders up in the air, and, using a joystick control, they can shoot themselves sideways.

The smallest members of the family will enjoy the Giant Slide, Giggle Go Round, Tin Lids Tea Cups, Little Beaut Toot Toot and Carousel; while most rides are suitable for school aged children (over 100cm): Stockshed Speedway Dodgems, Mozzi Musta, Booma Zooma and Bug Run rollercoaster.

Older, thrill seeking kids and big kids at heart can ride the Redback, Dark Rebel, Ballroom Blitz and the horror-filled Mayhem Maze.

Besides unlimited rides and mini golf, there's Sideshow Alley (where every player wins a prize), Professor Bogglesworth's Illusionarium and Leak'n Logs - a water play area with walk through mist shed, tipping buckets and dancing water jets. There's also old-fashioned fun to be had in the hall of Crazy Mirrors, as well as Phileas's Fun Works, a themed venue with a great selection of the latest arcade, redemption and video games.

Food wise, the Fun Cafe offers families healthy wraps, burgers, chips, sundaes and more, while the Pub bar and grill serves up more substantial lunches and dinners available in aircon comfort.

Need to know - Located just off the Bruce Highway at Palmview on the Sunshine Coast, Aussie World is a medium sized family theme park - *open daily 363 days a year (closed Christmas and Anzac Day). Much more affordable than theme parks on the Gold Coast, Aussie World has something for everyone.
