Hologram Zoo

Cannon Hill

Hologram Zoo is the world's most futuristic massive indoor animal theme park, and you'll find it at Cannon Hill Shopping Centre. The 1000 square metre family entertainment centre is packed with cutting-edge attractions, using the latest laser-based hologram technology to create giant hologram animals that appear all around, offering a truly immersive experience.

Experiences at the Zoo

Currently the zoo is offering a North Pole Christmas Experience from December 9 to 31, 2023. This magical experience follows the story of all the animals found in the arctic circle, then is followed by a trip to the most famous north pole resident...Santa Claus himself! You will be able to walk through the North Pole, visit the busy elves hard at work in Santa’s workshop, and even ride in his sleigh over the Christmas village!

From January 1 to February 29, 2024, the Hologram Zoo is showing the never before seen Asia Experience where you'll visit Japan, China, and Nepal. Wander through the beautiful cherry blossom festival and visit the snow monkey hot springs. Swim with the koi fish under Hong Kong harbour and even come face to face with the mighty tiger!

Hologram Zoo Cannon Hill

The Dinosaur Experience will be available all year round as an upgrade on top of the regular experience on offer for an extra $17.50 per person. You'll feed a life-sized Apatosaurus, face the monsters at the bottom of the prehistoric oceans, fly with Pteradons over a waterfall, and even try to escape the mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex!

What to expect!

Your adventure begins with a 20-metre holographic tunnel experience where you traverse five different animal’s habitats. The animals will come out of the walls and float right in front of you! It is truly something that has to be seen to be believed.

Hologram Zoo Cannon Hill

Once you've completed one of your tunnel walks, you will walk over to the fenced holographic enclosures where the animals project from the ground below you. There are 10 fenced animals to see up close in the holographic enclosures and you will see 2 fenced animals per walk through. This is a fascinating exhibit as you get to see the animals from a perspective that not many people get to experience.

Hologram Zoo Cannon Hill

From the enclosures, you will head over to the new holographic skyroof experience where you'll shrink down to the size of an ant and watch as the animals walk across the glass above you. There are five skyroof experiences in total, so you will see one sky roof animal per walk through. This experience is wonderful as the animals are much larger than their real life counterparts.

Hologram Zoo Cannon Hill

Once you have finished the skyroof, you will be back at the tunnel to complete your second circuit. Once you have finished your experience, you can marvel at  the zoo's holographic bridge, where giant animals appear before you at a never before seen scale. The bridge chooses 4 animals to showcase per day, so you will see new creatures every visit.

Hologram Zoo Cannon Hill

Hungry? Visit the Rainforest Restaurant where you can sit, relax and enjoy the holographic rainforest creatures. You'll see chameleons and even toucans interacting in the environment. The restaurant also has gluten-free and vegan options available.
