Pablo Cafe
New Farm
PABLO CAFE CLOSED PERMANENTLY IN 2021. IT HAS BEEN REPLACED BY GROUND ALCHEMY & PLANTARIUM.
Pablo, one of New Farm's favourite cafes, is back in a brand new location offering well-brewed cups of coffee along with delicious breakfast and lunch fare.
Found on the corner of James Street and Merthyr Road, this quaint cafe boasts ample seating inside with comfy armchairs and a lounge, small tables and larger tables for big groups, while outside a covered courtyard features a vibrant wall mural by Brisbane-based street artist Emmanuel Moore.
Breakfast fare ranges from Rise & Shine (homemade pepita and goji berry granola served with coconut yoghurt, spiced poached pear, blueberry compote and pistachio rubble) and Eggs Ledger (crispy smoked speck bacon, free range poached egg with avocado and hollandaise sauce on sourdough) to Hafner's Mushrooms (baked mushrooms stuffed with a chorizo, feta and herb crumb, served with scrambled eggs and beetroot relish).
Smashed avo aficionados will want to sample Pablo's Home Loan Avo (smashed avocado on Crust & Co sourdough toast topped with grilled halloumi, mango and pomegranate salsa, served with coconut tahini yoghurt and almond and sumac dukkha; while sweet tooths will salivate over the cinnamon brioche French toast with poached pear, seasonal fruit, berry compote, homemade mango and coconut ice cream, maple syrup and saffron fairy floss.
Lunch includes Joey Tribbiani Melt (paprika and tomato meatballs on homemade honey cornbread), Little Mike Burger (beef patty with special sauce and American cheese on toasted milk bun) and Bowl of a Thousand Smiles - coconut, ginger and turmeric curry noodles with chicken, coconut chilli sambal salad.
In addition, there are toasted sandwiches and wraps available in the cabinet, as well as a scrumptious selection of sweet treats.
Coffee on pour is Genovese, served along with loose leaf teas, smoothies, frappes, milkshakes and fresh juices.
