The Rabbit Hole Cafe

Seven Hills

Situated on a quiet street in the small suburb of Seven Hills, The Rabbit Hole Cafe is one of those cafes in Brisbane that locals keep close to their chest.

Set inside an old weather-board cottage, this cosy cafe is delightfully decorated with colourful cushions and funky wallpaper. Patrons can sit inside in the comfy surrounds or outside, with plenty of seating available on the footpath and on the timber deck next to a patch of grass for the kids to play on.

You won't find the Mad Hatter here but you will find friendly service, well-brewed Campos coffee and an all day breakfast menu including sweet corn fritters with bacon and homemade relish, smashed avocado with fresh tomato and Persian feta, and The Rabbit Hole Big Breakfast: bacon, chipolata sausages, homemade hash browns, grilled tomato, mushrooms and homemade chutney. A miniature version of the big breakfast is also available.

This kid friendly cafe also offers all day breakfast for the wee ones; from fresh fruit and yoghurt, boiled egg and soldiers to banana and cinnamon pikelets with ice-cream.

Lunch options include standard fare like steak sandwiches, blats and big bowls of hot chips with aioli. Or choose from their selection of gourmet sandwiches and salads such as the inspired grilled chicken salad with fresh strawberries, baby spinach, bacon, feta, cherry tomatoes and pecans with roasted strawberry balsamic vinaigrette.

Need to know: The Rabbit Hole Cafe is open for dinner from Thursday to Sunday from 5pm.
