Mythos Corner Cafe
Deagon
Mythos Corner Cafe is like a little slice of Greece in an old corner store in Deagon - a Greek family-run cafe serving traditional home-made fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The delectable food, including freshly baked Greek sweets, is prepared by part-owner Stuss Read of My Kitchen Rules fame.

There is a cosy old school vibe at Mythos Corner Cafe, which is decked out with retro furnishings and original homewares, including hand painted Turkish ceramics, and classic Greek iconography.

On the menu you'll find a selection of traditional dips - taztziki, taramasalata & melitzanasalata (eggplant, garlic and lemon juice) served with pita bread and sides such as dolmathes, feta, olives, chips and horta (steamed Greek greens with olive oil and lemon).

Other menu options range from smaller plates such as haloumi wraps, Greek salad, calamari, spanakopita, char-grilled baby octopus, saganaki and lightly fried crispy whitebait to larger dishes including Moussaka, Patitsio (Greek lasagne) and hearty Gyros (slow-cooked marinated lamb shoulder served on Greek pita with chips and salad).

You can also enjoy breakfast such as Greek yoghurt with honey nuts and fresh fruit, bacon and egg pita or bacon, eggs, haloumi, Greek pepper, tomato and pita or a selection of traditional Greek sweets such as baklava, kataifi and galataopita, accompanied by a well-brewed Merlo coffee.

Need to know - There is plenty of free on-street parking nearby.
