Lighthouse Cafe Bar
North Cleveland
Out on a rocky isthmus surrounded by the white-capped waters of Moreton Bay, the rustic Cleveland Lighthouse Cafe Bar (circa 1936) is the budget part of a quirky clique of eateries that include a takeaway fish’n’chip kiosk, a seafood restaurant and gelataria.

Patrons can sit inside at the English-style low-ceilinged whitewashed bar with exposed beams or outside at salt-rusted tables with the sea lapping at the nearby rocks and enjoy a basic top value menu such as Moreton Bay prawns, salt and pepper calamari or burgers and chip with beer or a glass of wine.

It also makes a great place for a weekend breakfast, with options such as waffles, Lighthouse omelette, poached eggs or avocado sourdough.
You can also dine in at the pavilion-style restaurant where you can indulge in fresh seafood and other deilcious meals by day or night with views across the bay.

Alternatively buy some fish’n’chips at the takeaway kiosk and eat them in the seafront park where the original 19th century timber lighthouse still stands.
