Arcana Brisbane

Arcana would have to be Brisbane's most unique event and function space, tucked away in a cleverly repurposed warehouse in the back streets of Moorooka, where it caters for everything from private parties, weddings and baby showers to circus, theatre, cabaret and concerts.

The fully licensed warehouse space and creative arts hub incorporates a funky garden bar, which is a gorgeous oasis of lush greenery by day, transforming into an enchanted spectacle by night, with festoon lighting and stunning LED displays. The idyllic space can accommodate 70 people seated or 100 standing. A menu of beers, wines, spirits, and cocktails is available, complemented by food from Arcana's Tasty Kitchen.

Arcana is also home to the Empress Theatre, a purpose-built theatre with soaring 8m high ceilings which can host theatre, circus, burlesque, concerts and movie screenings, corporate events or film shoots. It also converts into the Empress Room, the perfect backdrop for wedding receptions and larger scale special occasions. The Empress can accommodate 80-220 seated guests or up to 350 standing.

The Empress Room is also an ideal venue for musicians and bands of all genres, offering a dynamic space with a capacity for 220 seated or 300 standing guests. The venue features a large raised custom stage, impressive lighting, full black drapes, and a spacious dressing room, creating a unique and industrial ambience. 

Nice to know - Arcana also offer three air-conditioned studio spaces for hire, with dance floors, professional audio, blackout 24/7, sound-proofing and 5m high black theatre curtains.

Good to know - Arcana is a fully licensed venue so no BYO. Bar and catering is available on request.
